This is a story of a single mother who was fighting desperately against all odds not only to be a good Christian, but to bring her illegitimate children up the same way when other Christians were judging her for her circumstance.
GOD CHOSE A CHILD
Manuela had come from a broken home and had suffered an emotionally traumatic and abusive childhood. As a teenager she chose to travel down many "avenues" to escape the memories and lingering pain of that childhood. It all came to a cul de sac when she realized one day that there was nothing left and no where to go but to God.
By this time she had two illegitimate children and on the verge of suicide. Naturally, like all desperate people, she believed she would find a haven within the church. She was wrong. At first Manuela put the discrimination she was subjected to by other Christians down to the typical attitudes of people without understanding. Again, she turned out to be wrong. |
